Meet trainer Daphnee
Lover of French Champagne, travelling and Dancing!
Health and fitness has always been a personal passion for Daphnee going back to her early childhood.
She was a Modern Jazz dancer and a cross country runner and has been a Personal Trainer for 12 Years.
She became a Personal Trainer because “I believe strongly that fitness is about improving the mind, body, and spirit, hence why I choose to become a personal trainer. I wanted to pass this knowledge to my clients.”
Besides teaching at Foundation Fitness and Wellbeing she runs group exercise classes for over 50’s on the Sunshine Coast. Daphnee holds qualifications in Cert 3 and 4 fitness.
“The thing I love the most about my job is interacting with my clients”

Most people don’t know this but I have travelled to over 70 cities in the world. The world is my oyster.
Best piece of advice I was ever given -

I can’t live without my breakfast in the mornings
I am inspired by my family.
People in general inspire me.
What is the key to your wellbeing?
Improving the mind, body, and spirit
I live by the mantra you are what you eat.
My guilty obsession Wine and French Champagne.....HELP
How do you find the energy even when you don’t feel it?
I was told in life that it is mind over matter and the rest will follow.
The worst excuse for not turning up to training is the weather.
How do you keep the consistency?
- just keep going and moving.
Three tips to help someone stay focused:
Wake up
Exercise
Good Nutrition
If I won $1 million in the lottery I would set me and my family up first and donate the rest to the unfortunate.
“The most interesting fad in the fitness industry over the years has been people's different interpretation on weight loss.”
Things I love about the Sunshine Coast? Our beaches
If I had to choose sleep or working out I would choose Working out
In my spare time I like to Dance
If you had the chance to go back in time what would you do differently? Nothing
What happens when you personally don’t work out? I feel sluggish the whole time
My favourite cheat meal is Thai food
Winter or summer? Summer
Sits up or pull ups? Both
Should men and women train differently? No but definitely different scaling in weights and reps.
“Foundation Fitness and Wellbeing is different from other studios because we have a more personal and approachable environment than other gyms.”
